Lyman-Morse Boatbuilding in Thomaston is one of the finest custom and semi-custom builders and service providers for sailing and motor yachts. Set in the heart of Maine’s pristine cruising waters, the area is great for crew changes and a base for provisioning. 

Working with the world’s most accomplished designers, Lyman-Morse builds yachts up to 135 ft LOA in any material including composites and SCRIMP infusion techniques. 

They build, service and refit anything including power, sail, monohull and multihull yachts. Current and recent new builds include semi-custom the semi-custom Hood 57 powerboat, 2 new LM46 sailboats (set to launch in summer 2021) and hull #1 of the Hood 35LM.

The full-service yard and storage facility with indoor heated and outdoor storage provides mechanical, rigging, metal fabrication, electronics, canvas, engineering, joinery, electrical and systems capabilities. Haul outs for yachts up to 130 ft is managed by the yard’s 110-ton Travel Lift. Lyman-Morse is an eco-friendly yard with its 39,000 ft² “Green” building, helping the yard win multiple awards and recognition for their commitment to the environment. 

Refits and repairs can be carried out on large yachts up to 200 ft, the floating docks can accommodate large yachts with plenty of depth and a well-marked channel up the river. This yard works seamlessly with their sister yard in Camden.
