About Grenada

In recent years, Grenada has really shone as one of the Eastern Caribbean’s true yachting hubs, offering some excellent marina facilities at Camper & Nicholson’s Port Louis Superyacht Marina in St. George’s, as well as Secret Harbour Marina in Mount Hartman Bay which is convenient and discreet for large Superyachts.
A choice of other marina facilities around the south coast are available, with Le Phare Bleu Marina in Calivigny Bay being another workable option for smaller vessels.

Grenada also offers some quality haul out and maintenance facilities throughout its multi-island state - with 4 major boatyards including Grenada Marine boatyard at St. David's Harbour, the similarly safe, insurance approved and quality assured Spice Island Marine Boatyard – plus over in Carriacou, the Tyrell Bay Boatyard and Marina has a 150 ton travelift. A wide, 242 ton travel lift is also available at Clarkes Court Boatyard in Grenada.

Grenada has a comprehensive range of technical support services to offer, including ‘Turbulence Sails & Rigging’, fine yacht joinery from, ‘Driftwood Fine Yacht Woodwork’ and an excellent life raft and safety equipment service and sales station. First class yacht services and provisioning support is also on hand from either Superyacht Services Grenada or Henry Safari Yacht Services & Tours.

To complete the package, Grenada’s International Airport hosts direct flights to both the US and UK and has a dedicated FBO facility onsite (IAM Jet Centre).

Beyond its technical marine services sector, Grenada is also one of the most colourful and attractive destinations for yachts to visit. As the ‘Spice Island’ of the Caribbean, Grenada has a wonderful character and personality all of its own and an island tour always comes highly recommended (see ‘Island Tours’ section). There are waterfalls to swim in, some wonderful treks to hike, and a choice of nutmeg processing plants and rum distilleries to visit.

Grenada’s capital, St. George's, is one of the most attractive ‘signature’ towns of the Caribbean... vibrant with life and colour. The island also has some beautiful beaches, along with some first class restaurants to enjoy at the end of the day. Other attractions include superb diving, a 9 hole golf course, movie cinema with 2 screens, plus a great choice of nightlife - with wine bars and late night dancing in abundance. In summary, there really is something for everyone in Grenada!
